PETA received over 20 minutes of free airtime as the ad became the subject of a heated debate across two TV channels. The campaign also featured festive wrapping paper that used the cutter marks to dramatise the cruelty turkeys face at Christmas. The paper was sold in the UK and the States to raise money for the charity.
